Mary, We often complain about how difficult it is to be heard by the people in power who are supposed to represent us. Influencing change is difficult. And because of this, many have lost faith in our institutions and democracy. This scares us, Mary. We don't want to find ourselves in a world where people don't care if someone around us is persecuted unfairly or suffers unjustly. We don't want to find ourselves in a world where the media turns a blind eye to abuses of power and stops holding politicians accountable for their broken promises. We don't want to find ourselves in a world where we no longer have the tools to unite and fight back. We don't want to find ourselves in a world without Change.org — a place where millions of people don't give up — a place where people unite, mobilize and succeed. That is why we will not give up.
