Hi Mary, In just a moment I am going to ask you to make a contribution to Change.org to protect people's voices in the United States. Please give me a chance to explain why this request is so important and why you are crucial in fighting injustice.  Only a small group of the millions of Change.org users in the US received this email. You are one of the most active Change.org users, signing petitions to empower social change over the past few months. I don't know if I ever told you this, but our team in the US is just 7 people. And there's only so much 7 people can do to support petition starters to run impactful campaigns. We could hire many more experts if we, say, ran ads for big companies on our website. Or if we introduced paid functions, which only a few could afford. But this would go against our mission. We strongly believe that Change.org must remain independent, free and open for all. That's why our sustainability, growth and development rely exclusively on our core users - people like you, Mary. Yes, I want to support Change.org As I said earlier, only a small group of people have received this email. And let me give you another fact: if only 1% of those who are reading these words became a Change.org Supporter right now with a monthly contribution, we could guarantee our sustainability for many months. This would mean that many more important campaigns would receive the support they need, which we are just unable to provide at the moment being short of resources. Do you think you could be part of that 1% and help us with a monthly contribution a month? Mary, Change.org wouldn't exist without our regular supporters. Without them we couldn't be 100% independent, or support dozens of petition starters each week - getting media for their campaigns.
