They also commonly suffer from stress, due to their conditions and the constant interaction with humans. Rabbits are not merchandise; they are sentient beings deserving of care and respect. Rabbits are the third most abandoned pet in the United States, as reported by the Humane Society. By selling rabbits, Petco indirectly contributes to this pet abandonment issue.
