National Security Advisor Michael Waltz added a journalist to a classified government conversation about U.S. military operations. This reckless act demands a full investigation.
In a stunning report from The Atlantic, journalist Jeffrey Goldberg revealed that Waltz personally added him to a Signal group chat titled "Houthi PC small group." The chat included Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and other top officials, all using their personal devices to discuss classified military plans, including airstrikes on Yemen.
This is a gross violation of national security protocols. A National Security Advisor is entrusted with safeguarding the country's most sensitive information—not carelessly exposing it to unauthorized individuals.
At best, Waltz made an incompetent mistake. At worst, he had Goldberg in Signal app because he'd been regularly sharing information with the journalist. If Waltz is this reckless with war plans, what other classified information has been compromised under his watch?
A person who uses the fist bump and fire emoji to celebrate an airstrike that killed at least 53 people on an unsecured group chat has NO business advising our nation's national security.
We cannot allow such blatant disregard for security to go unchecked. Sign now to demand a full congressional investigation into Michael Waltz's actions and accountability for this shocking breach.
