Growing up in our household with both parents, my father, Luis Guerrero, was always the compassionate one. He consistently told us how proud he was of us, and he was always the one who would show up to every school event. Despite life's challenges, he remained our anchor—the only parent who has stayed in constant contact with us, reassuring us of his unwavering love and support. Now, we are faced with a devastating situation: my father has been detained by ICE, and we desperately need your help to bring him back.

Luis Guerrero is not just my father; he is a kind, hardworking man who has dedicated his life to supporting his family. Living in the United States for more years than he did in Mexico, his roots are firmly planted here, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He is the proud father of four children, one of whom is in elementary school and another on the brink of graduation. Despite the hardships, he never committed any crimes until the misdemeanor of violating a protection order by asking his wife to see his daughter. His only 'offense' is wanting a better life for his children.

Detaining my father is not just an attack on him; it's an attack on our family. It puts undue strain on all of us, especially my younger siblings who now face the emotional turmoil of having a parent forcibly taken away. The impact on their education, emotional well-being, and sense of security is immeasurable and unjustifiable.

Our plea is simple: release Luis Guerrero from ICE detention so he can return to the community that values him and the family that loves him. As it stands, his absence is a void that no other can fill. Luis remains an active part of our community, contributing through his hard work and commitment to family values that are the bedrock of our town.

We urge ICE to review his case with compassion and fairness, understanding that keeping families together should always be the priority. We are asking for support from our fellow St. Joseph residents and all compassionate individuals to help amplify our cause.

Please sign this petition to support the immediate release of my father, Luis Guerrero, so that our family can once again be whole. Your signature can make a monumental difference and help us bring him home where he belongs. We cannot achieve this without your support.
